Complaints & Content-Removal Policy
HB Technologies LLC, operator of friendswith.ai (the “Service”), provides a clear process for reporting content that may be illegal or otherwise violate our Standards, and for requesting the removal of content. This policy explains how to submit a complaint, how we review it, how to appeal a decision, and the possible outcomes.
1. How to report or request removal
Anyone may report content or request its removal through any of these channels:
- the in-app Report tool;
- email to trust@friendswith.ai; or
- the CCBill complaints / take-down request form.
2. Review and timeframe
We review and resolve all reported complaints within five (5) business days. Suspected child-safety matters are actioned immediately. Where a report identifies content that is illegal or violates our Standards, the content is removed immediately on confirmation, the responsible account may be terminated, and, where the law requires, the matter is reported to the appropriate authorities (for example, apparent CSAM is reported to the NCMEC CyberTipline).
3. Appeal procedure
Any person depicted in content may appeal to have that content removed. On receiving an appeal we undertake a reasonable review. If the review determines that the appropriate consent was not given, or that consent is void under applicable law, the content is removed with immediate effect.
Should there be a disagreement regarding the outcome of an appeal, HB Technologies LLC will allow that disagreement to be resolved by a neutral body, at HB Technologies LLC’s expense.
Note: every Character on the Service is entirely computer-generated and fictional, and the Service does not host user-uploaded images — so no real, identifiable person is depicted. This appeal channel nonetheless remains available to anyone who believes content resembles or depicts a real person.
4. Possible outcomes
- Removal of the content, where it is illegal, violates our Standards, or lacks valid consent;
- Account action, up to and including suspension or permanent termination of the responsible account;
- Referral to NCMEC and/or law enforcement where required by law;
- Neutral-body resolution (at our expense) where a consent disagreement cannot be resolved directly; or
- No action, where the review finds the content compliant — with an explanation available to the reporter on request.
